To ensure a property's marketing, sales and reservations teams are operating at maximum effectiveness and are pursuing all significant revenue opportunities, an owner, General Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing may wish to have an independent evaluation of its revenue-generating efforts conducted. Assessments may focus on just sales, marketing or reservations, or encompass all three areas. The focus of these assessments is not as much a critique of the current practices as it is the identification of additional revenue-generating opportunities. These assessments are recommended for independents that do not receive regular oversight from a management company, or believe improvements need to be made.
